Orange Wine Rikat Tempus Vini

This wine is made from Rikat. It was very well planted in Bulgaria during the communism and has high acidity and fresh aroma.

It was used for still wine and also for vine base of high spirit drinks. The grapes come from 50 years old vines, handpicked. It began fermentation with the skins for 33 days. After fermentation the wines were transferred to old used barrels for 3 months and continued with 3 months rest into the bottle.

Wine is amber in colour. Very persistent aroma of ripe pears, yellow apple, candied orange zest, salty with interesting, slightly oxidation notes.

Palate is dry with a lot of stone fruit, vanilla and sherry notes and an aftertaste of baked almond and walnuts.
